The Atelier FdMP 2 has established itself in the vibrant heart of Geneva, in immediate proximity to the main railway station, fully embracing the city’s energy in its daily life. Located within the Mont-Blanc Centre, an emblematic building designed in the 1950s by the visionary architect Marc-Joseph Saugey — also home to the legendary Cinema Le Plaza — our studio goes beyond its primary function as a workplace to become a true living space.
The architecture of our office evolves around a free central area, a flexible core composed of modular furniture that can be adapted according to needs. Freed from partitions, this space becomes a place of social convergence, conducive to meetings, creative sessions, photo shoots, experimentation, model-making and moments of relaxation at the end of the day. The deliberate minimalism highlights the studio’s preference for raw and authentic materials such as wood, concrete and metal, reinforcing the spatial quality and revealing the historical architectural substance.
The cores located at the center of the plan and clad in metal sheets treated with mill scale house the utilities and structure the interior layout. These large black surfaces become monumental display boards, playing a central role in the studio’s methodology. Every creation, every idea is displayed, discussed, annotated and challenged. In this way, our architecture studio becomes a dynamic and productive workshop dedicated to delivering architecture of exceptional quality, fostering a creative and innovative spirit — a place where architectural excellence takes shape, propelling the office toward new levels of creativity and innovation.
“An office that moves, lives, and evolves into a studio, a workshop, a place for exchange.”
