Mont-Blanc Centre
“We must belong to our century; we inevitably undergo its evolution. Our duty is not to stabilize our art, but to help it evolve. We must allow our fellow citizens to benefit from the advances of civilization, from the new elements of comfort it has created, from new techniques—in short, from everything that constitutes the contribution of our time.”
Marc-J. Saugey

Located in the city center, near the train station, Mont Blanc Centre is an iconic complex designed by the Geneva architect Marc-Joseph Saugey in the 1950s, including the famous Plaza cinema. Its strategic position in the heart of Geneva makes it a true landmark in the urban landscape. Furthermore, as a historically listed building since 2019, it holds significant importance in preserving Geneva's rich heritage.
With the Mont Blanc Centre project, FdMP aims to preserve the original essence and character of this iconic structure while revitalizing it for future generations. This includes the development of 42 modern offices and common spaces, thus perpetuating Geneva's architectural and cultural heritage while meeting the contemporary needs of the city. Mont Blanc Centre remains a symbol of the city’s history, reminding residents and visitors of the grandeur and richness of its past.

“Never forget [...] that our cathedrals are not, in themselves, monuments of stone, but that in truth we have tried to bring into these buildings the maximum of light with the minimum of matter.”
Marc-J. Saugey
