Located at the heart of the industrial zone of Plan-les-Ouates, Tribeca occupies one of the district’s last remaining voids to reveal its potential. More than a simple building the project asserts a vision: transforming a vacant plot into an urban instrument capable of supporting the evolution of contemporary artisanal and industrial activities. Conceived as a unified architecture, the volume is composed of a base anchored in the ground, from which three distinct entities emerge. This interplay of subtraction and superposition fragments the mass, frees terraces and opens up views, while embedding the whole within a clearly expressed industrial language. The base, marked by large arcades, evokes the industrial memory of the area; the emerging volumes, lighter in expression, reflect the dynamism and flexibility of the uses they contain.
The project clearly organizes flows and scales: at the front, an open façade offering itself to the city and to green transport; at the rear, a high-performance logistical façade. This hierarchy establishes a balance between functional efficiency and quality of use. Inside, a rational grid provides open and adaptable floor plates capable of accommodating a diversity of companies and evolving over time. Around and above the building, nature is reintroduced through ground-level gardens, patios and planted terraces. Tribeca is conceived as a building that connects heritage, innovation and landscape.
